New Civil Society Organisation for Casualty Recording: Every Casualty Worldwide

First published 1st Sep 2014

Casualty recording as an issue and as promoted by the Every Casualty Programme of Oxford Research Group has gained wide interest, from UN Member states, the UN Secretary General, intergovernmental bodies and a wide range of civil society organisations around the world. Therefore we have agreed that the time has come for a dedicated and standalone civil society organisation to move this vital work forward.

We are pleased to announce that the Every Casualty Programme, founded within Oxford Research Group (ORG) in 2007, is to become an independent self-governing organisation from October 1st 2014.

A new NGO, Every Casualty Worldwide (ECW), has been formed to carry this work forward. ECW will continue its work with the same programme team as including the programme’s founders and co-directors. They will maintain and develop all its existing partnerships and relationships.

ORG and ECW will continue to co-operate and support each other’s work and, in the beginning stage of the new organisation, ECW will work from the ORG office and share ORG’s administrative capacities

The website www.everycasualty.org will continue to be the public face of the every casualty programme and campaign.
