First published 3rd Sep 2012

We are very pleased to announce that the Centre for Study of Political violence (CSPV) of the Jindal School of International Affairs has just joined the IPN.

The Centre for the study of Political Violence, which is located in the O .P Jindal Global University in India, is the first mainstream academic institution to become an IPN member. The Centre will be the first academic institution worldwide, to our knowledge, to build a research programme on casualty recording. Dr. Samrat Sinha who started the armed conflict research documentation project ( which documented casualties in Northeastern India and was formally part of the IPN) is the Associate Director of CSPV and will be continuing his work at the CSPV.
