IPN activities

The International Practitioner Network (IPN) of casualty recorders held its first conference, in London on the 13-14th September 2011. In attendance were representatives of 23 IPN members and 10 other organisations and institutions with an interest or expertise in casualty recording. Matters from tools in practice to the uses of casualty records and effective advocacy were discussed.

The conference was very successful and provided a solid basis for future collaboration. We intend to hold a full conference of the IPN every other year from now on.

Other activities planned for the IPN in the coming year include collaborative projects on data sharing, IT and toolkit development and the development of standards of practice as part of the everycasualty programme's methods research.
